10 Book Recommendations for Cancers

Book Recs for Cancer Signs

The time has come again. Cancer season is upon us (June 20 – July 22) and it’s looking like it’s going to be sweet, sultry, and sappy, thanks to its’ ruler, the great almighty luna. With Pride celebrations slowing down towards the end of June, Cancer is going to swoop in the like mothers they are and cradle all of us with love and snacks and snuggles. So, bust out your favorite emotional support snacks and get your journal ready, this season is going to be all the feels.

About Cancer

Cancers often get a bad rap for being moody, but honestly, they’re just big softies, especially with their favorite people. They’ve got a ton of love and kindness to give, so it’s key they’re picky about who gets to see that side of them. Not everyone deserves their best self, and they’re serious about keeping those boundaries strong. That protective crab shell really does keep them safe.

“Simply put, they are here to be the emotional glue that holds people, communities, and the world together.” – Chani Nicholas

Book Recommendations for CAncer

Cancers’ North Star is all about finding that sweet spot between showing big love and being ice cold. They can let folks see their soft side or keep it all tucked away behind that tough exterior.

If your Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury, or Mars is in Cancer, you might dig non-fiction books about people figuring out how to protect their peace, set boundaries, and open up. But steer clear of those self-help books—Cancers don’t want anyone telling them what to do directly.

Cancers might also enjoy books centered around the family matriarch, since they often take on that role themselves. When it comes to genres, Romance is definitely at the top of the list for Cancer bbys. Being water signs, they’re intuitive af, so books with witchy or fantasy plots are also 100% recommended.
